Home to 130 residents, it can only be reached by boat from Mallaig or walked over a couple of days including one night in a bothy. To the south there is Loch Nevis and to the north Loch Hourn. In its midst are four Munros which give Knoydart a wild beauty that holds fascination for walkers and climbers alike and helps to isolate the peninsula from the outside world.
