They Call It The Last British Wilderness!
Knoydart Peninsula covers some 80 square miles and is situated north of Mallaig in the Western Highlands of Scotland. Home to 130 residents, it can only be reached by boat from Mallaig or walked over a couple of days including one night in a bothy. To the south there is Loch Nevis and to the north Loch Hourn. In its midst are four Munros which give Knoydart a wild beauty that holds fascination for walkers and climbers alike and helps to isolate the peninsula from the outside world.
